Need: The company had established a Works Council to improve employee involvement and advise management on employee issues. The HR manager asked us to help provide skills that would make the Works Council more effective.

Solution: Two sessions designed and delivered covering confidence building, communication styles, problem-solving and assertiveness.

Outcomes:

  • better team working within the Works Council

  • better communications between members and their colleagues reduced need for HR manager's time to explain decisions
