Team Facing Uncertainty

Client: Educational Charity

Need: Regional branches of the charity were about to be merged, creating an uncertain time for employees. Within the branch, different departments were in conflict over roles and procedures.

Solution: Two one-day sessions, a month apart, examining current strengths and weaknesses, providing group problem-solving techniques and promoting a positive, solution-focused approach to the future.

Outcomes:

  • staff felt listened to and valued

  • Action plan to improve procedures and communications within the branch

  • greater trust in manager by staff

  • reduced stress moving through the merger period

In their own words

Very refreshing teaching style. Learnt more than normal from such a course due to being involved in group sessions and having to demonstrate we are "practising what we've preached"! - Louise Thomas, Coleg Gwent
